THE PRAGUE ZOOThe Prague Zoo is in the north of Prague, in the district Troja, located in the middle of a wonderful hilly countryside. It is one of the most eventful and beautiful attractions. The park stretches from the Vlatava valley up to the mountainous hills of Troja. Many animals of the PRAGUE ZOO, which had a close relationship to the employees of the zoo, had no chance to survive in that disastrous flood. That was one of the darkest hours of the PRAGUE ZOO. Misery and grief remained, both for man and animals, after the water had gone down. Much of the zoo’s unique life and precious cultural possession of Troja Castle were irretrievably lost. Because of the global disastrous situation in the entire Czech Republic, the financial aids for the PRAGUE ZOO were very poor. Only many months later the people of Prague were able to help repair the damages in the PRAGUE ZOO.
